Jónsi - Tornado
Jónsi’s solo record, Go, is certainly one of this season’s most beautiful albums. Also the lead signer of Sigur Rós, Jónsi is one of the most acclaimed figures of the Icelandic pop scene. Go does not shift dramatically from the style of Jónsi’s previous work with Sigur Rós. Nevertheless, the final product perfectly balances moments of pure emotion and intimacy with the bold, magnificent orchestrations that we have come to expect from this artist. Jónsi’s first solo tour will stop in Montreal on May 2nd, 2010, at the Metropolis.
